Camshaft / crankshaft position sensor suitable for a wide range of Toyota and Lexus vehicles. Depending on the engine and installation location, Toyota uses this sensor for monitoring either camshaft or crankshaft position.
The sensor provides engine position and rotational speed information to the ECU, allowing accurate control of ignition timing, fuel injection and variable valve timing systems.
A faulty position sensor can cause symptoms including difficult starting, intermittent stalling, engine misfires, poor performance, loss of power, engine warning lights or a crank/no-start condition.
