Unlike a conventional mechanical or gearbox-driven speedometer, this gauge calculates vehicle speed from GPS, meaning no gearbox speed sender, wheel-speed pickup or mechanical speedometer cable is required.
The GPS system provides an accurate and convenient solution for vehicles where the original speedometer has been removed, or is difficult to interface with, making it particularly useful for custom dashboards, classic vehicles, boats and off-road builds.

Why Use a GPS Speedometer?
A GPS speedometer measures vehicle speed using satellite positioning rather than relying on a mechanical cable or electronic speed signal from the transmission.
This makes it ideal for modified vehicles, gearbox conversions, tyre-size changes, boats and other applications where obtaining a reliable conventional speed signal can be difficult.
We do not recommend using this product as the primary speed indicating device for on-road applications.

Installation
The gauge mounts into an approximately 85mm dashboard opening and requires connection to the vehicle's electrical supply along with installation of the supplied GPS antenna.
For best GPS reception, the antenna should be installed where it has a clear view of the sky or in a suitable position beneath the windscreen.
Before Ordering
Please check that your dashboard has sufficient space for an 85mm gauge and adequate clearance behind the panel for the gauge body, wiring and GPS antenna connection.
