This gauge calculates vehicle speed using GPS satellite data, so there is no need for a mechanical speedometer cable, gearbox speed sensor or wheel-speed pickup.
In addition to vehicle speed, the gauge also provides trip distance, accumulated odometer reading and a digital compass, making it a practical all-in-one instrument for automotive, marine and custom applications.
This unit is splashproof, making it ideal for marine applications.

Wiring Connections

Momentarily touching the yellow wire to ground allows the display unit to be switched between Knots, MPH and KM/H. The selected unit is automatically saved.

Why Use a GPS Speedometer?
GPS speedometers determine vehicle speed using satellite positioning rather than relying on the vehicle's transmission, wheel-speed sensors or mechanical speedometer drive.
This makes them particularly useful for modified vehicles, gearbox conversions, boats, custom builds and other applications where connecting to an original speed signal may be difficult or impractical.
We do not recommend using this gauge as a primary speed indication device on a road vehicle.

Installation
Installation requires a suitable 52mm mounting location, connection to a 9–32V DC power supply and installation of the supplied GPS antenna.
For best GPS reception, install the antenna in a location with good access to the sky, such as beneath the windscreen or in another suitable unobstructed position.
